Orchiectomy - Surgical removal of the
testicles to produce castrate levels of testosterone; used to
treat advanced prostate cancer.
Osteoblastic - The typical type of
bone metastasis seen in prostate cancer. These lesions are characterized
by abnormal bone generation (osteoblastic) rather than bone loss
(osteolytic).
Osteoporosis - A demineralization of
the bone which may accompany androgen deprivation therapy.
